What would you tell someone about to become a mother?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 16, 2007:
I would tell her to be joyous for her womb has been blessed to bring forth a child. I would make sure she knows that with faith in God she will have the strength to endure the struggles of parenting. I would encourage her to teach the child right moral values, but not to get him attached to dogmas, but rather learn the great spiritual truths. I would let her know that she can guide her child, but can't mold that child into what she wants but rather that it is the child's decision to make when he or she reaches the age of maturity.
